Joins us for an evening of entertainment, dining and shopping at Downtown Disney.
Downtown Disney is a 120-acre entertainment, dining, and shopping complex at the Walt Disney World resort made up of three distinct sections: The Marketplace, Pleasure Island and the West Side. A Disney shoppers' paradise, Downtown Disney features such diverse shops as World of Disney, Lego Imagination Center, the Art of Disney, and the enormous Virgin Records. Unique entertainment is also available at Disney Quest and the nighttime hot spot, Pleasure Island and a 24 screen movie theatre with stadium seating. The complex includes an abundance of dining choices including Fulton's Crab House, Rainforest Cafe, and Planet Hollywood. Please note that although there is a Cirque du Soleil venue, there are no scheduled performances during the week of our conference.
Transportation: Transportation will be provided at no cost for up to 55 people. There will be a sign up sheet for this social at the conference registration desk.
Price: There is no admission fee for the Market Place and West Side areas of Downtown Disney, but Disney Quest, the AMC Movie Theatre and Pleasure Island DO require paid admission. Those who wish to visit Disney Quest or Pleasure Island can use the PDF booking form available on the conference website to pre-purchase discounted tickets for these attractions from the hotel concierge. Discount tickets only available with pre-purchase through May 9th, but you can also purchase full-price tickets at the attractions.

In order to capitalize on your experience at KSC, we have consulted with KSC staff and have prepared an optimal itinerary for our day at Kennedy Space Center. Our goal in preparing this is to allow you to experience as much of the best* attractions in the course of our 4-5 hours of actual time at the complex.
If you prefer to depart from this schedule and tour the complex yourself, you are only required to ensure that you board the charter bus in the 15 minute window provided because we will depart promptly. These times are shown in bold (all times are local EST or GMT -4:00).

**This new immersive attraction is scheduled to be open on May 25th. It also may be quite busy, so alternatively, you can explore the Visitor's Complex (i.e., the Astronaut Memorial, Space Gift Shop, Rock Garden, etc.)

FOR THOSE OF YOU WITH FRIDAY FLIGHTS: Those of you who have flights on Friday should arrange for flight departures no earlier than 6:30 PM Friday in order to register for this social. After registering for this event, please email Felicia Harlow (email@example.com) with your flight departure time for transportation arrangements to the airport. She will arrange to have a direct transfer from the hotel to the airport* for the group. This will ensure there is transportation waiting for a quick turnaround when we return from Kennedy Space Center.
* Airport transportation price per person determined by group size (between $20-$33 per person, if we have at least 2 riders). This will be less expensive than individual direct transfers, which will cost approximately $40 each. The regular shuttle (i.e., non-direct--approx $20), requires multiple stops in addition to your hotel. They will require you to be picked up at least 3 hours prior to your flight to accommodate other stops. This would be impractical for flight departures before 8:00PM."
