SCOPE AND OBJECTIVES
A Special Session on Cyber and SCADA Security is being organized as part of the 2010
International Symposium on Collaborative Technologies and Systems (CTS 2010) to be held
May 17-21, 2010, at Westin Lombard Yorktown Center, Chicago, Illinois, USA. This
special session is proposed to bring together people from industry, utilities, defense,
government and academia who are working in the field of Cyber and SCADA security.
Cyber security includes network and server protection from unauthorized and malicious
access. SCADA security includes protection of SCADA control units or industrial
equipment in malfunctioning, production, power generation & distribution, fabrication,
refining, public and private infrastructure institutions, and large communication
systems. The area of industrial and infrastructure security is very important and
various governments have mandated the compliance by all institutions and services to many
security regulations.
This special session covers all hardware, software and applications issues that are
involved in providing a reliable and robust security environments to allow collaborative
tools and services to continue using the IT infrastructure without the threat of intrusion
and unauthorized modifications. We invite all types of original contributions on
this emerging area of interest. Authors of selected papers from this session will be
invited to contribute to the cyber security handbook being edited by the session chairs,
to be published by IGI Global Publishers.

SUBMISSION INSTRUCTIONS
Authors are invited to submit original and unpublished papers to the special session
organizers by

. For other electronic formats, please check with the organizers. Papers
submitted for review should not exceed 10 pages in IEEE single-spaced, double-column
format. Additional pages will be charged at additional fee. Include up to 6
keywords and an abstract of no more than 400 words. Submissions should also include
the title, authors name, affiliation, e-mail address, fax number and postal address.
In case of multiple authors, an indication of which author is responsible for
correspondence should also be included. If accepted, the final manuscript will
follow the CTS 2010 format that is available on the conference Web site at
http://cisedu.us/cis/cts/10/main/callForPapers.jsp

Consistent with standard practice, each submitted paper will receive a minimum of three
reviews. Papers will be selected based on their originality, timeliness,
significance, relevance, and clarity of presentation. Initial selection will be
based on full papers. Submission implies the willingness of at least one of the
authors to register and present the paper, once accepted. All accepted papers are
required to be presented and will be included in the conference proceedings.
Instructions for final manuscript format and requirements will be posted on the CTS 2010
Symposium web site later. It is our intent to have the proceedings formally
published in hard and soft copies and be available at the time of the conference.
